It all started when we went downstairs to have breakfast and found that our cat had knocked over one of the plants in the night....
What! This plant is poisonous keep it away from small animals!?
Not knowing what else to do we left to walk to school. Both girls were a mess. Tamsyn felt terrible and Tasha was worried her guinea pig was going to die any second because her sister had fed him a toxic plant. Feeling helpless and worried, I called Jake. He calmly offered to call the vet and then called us back just before we arrived at the school.

I'm so happy "piggy" is okay <3 we've had our share of the little lovies, too <3
I love that Tamsyn said two prayers! How is Kody now?
Phew. :) I had a few guinea pigs when I was little. The last one I had, my Mom said that she "took it back to the pet store that day" because we had re-carpeted the house and she didn't want the smell and wood chips all over the new carpet. Then...years later...I learned the truth. She had just let it go down the hill!!! I still have visions of that poor guinea pig trying to fend for itself outside. I often tell my Mom that "he'll be waiting for her on the other side so that he can haunt her." :) Hope the guinea pig is okay! That's traumatic for the kiddos.
I Seriously LOVE this blog! You are so talented! Glad to hear that the guinea pig is okay. ;-)
Can you recommend any toxic plants for hamsters? ;)
